Talking activism and electoral reform with David Miliband, Kate Garvey, Lisa Nandy and Gayle Smith

Another brilliant event from Tortoise media – hosting a summit on global leadership at a time when it is incredibly important.

I asked David Miliband, CEO of International Rescue Committee & Kate Garvey, co-founder of Project Everyone, for what we can do at home to aid the cause of the sustainable development goals. My question starts at 24.05

We also heard from Lisa Nandy, shadow foreign secretary, and Gayle Smith, CEO of the ONE campaign, who were looking at how the world will change in response to Covid. I was able to draw upon the work being done by GET PR DONE! to promote the question of electoral reform. Lisa gives an eloquent, informed and authoritative response that fell just slightly short of actually answering the question. Check it out from 33.35!

As always, a huge thank you to Tortoise Media for the incredible work they are doing putting on these events!
