My experience, and the experience of most people that I have discussed it with, is that the Job Centre is not fit for purpose. Endless CVs are sent out to huge companies that receive thousands.
For those who have fallen out of safe, secure and rewarding employment, our system must focus on skill development, emotional resilience and creating projects that demonstate expertise. This cannot be done by disinterested Job Centre employees on low wages, targetted to hit high numbers of sanctions.
